Add a weather forecast to your .tel

Post by Clever on Sun Aug 18, 2013 1:19 am

  1. Go to www.intermeteo.com and select a city, as example London.

  2. Click on Weather forecast for London on your site (free-informers) >>.

  3. Click on one of the pictures with different sizes that you like to use.

  4. After the pop-up has opened, mark and copy the URL of the picture (after img src=").

As example the first picture has the following URL: http://inf.intermeteo.com/c/85/12368/1125.png

  5. Insert up to 5 pictures per page with the available tools: http://www.whatsyourtel.com/t3-administration-of-tels-including-pictures-and-videos

The picture will always show the current weather forecast.

TELcp did just the same with www.new-york-city.wx.tel as described at his TELcp blog:

He has inserted 1 picture on top of his .TEL and 2 at the bottom. Since no contact entries are inserted they appear all together in a row.

Add Weather information to your tel

Post by Lostwithiel on Mon Aug 19, 2013 1:39 am

I have looked at using http://www.intermeteo.com/ for adding weather image to a dot tel page, but further investigation suggests the range of UK towns, and the increased complexity of the image at http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=4web;sess=; is better than that available at  http://www.intermeteo.com/.

For example see http://weather.lostwithiel.tel   (Weather image at the top of page for mobile site and at bottom of page for Desktop site.)

Also if you want to add RSS feeds for your weather forecasts, news, tide times  etc this is easy using the RSS Gadget for Google sites. See the Tide times at https://sites.google.com/site/lostwithielmoblie/
 which are linked from    http://weather.lostwithiel.tel

It's even possible to include RSS feeds inside of a .tel domain (instead of linking to them):
